If you are going to give us a draft for publication, please go over our style guide beforehand and make sure that your draft is formatted in a way that is consistent with it. It is requested that contributors adhere to the Livecliq.net style guide that has been released here. Compliance with the style guide will be of great assistance to us in ensuring that all postings are free of errors and have a presentation style that is uniform and meaningful.
General Guidelines
- The point should be delivered straightforwardly and succinctly.
- Rants against individuals or organizations should not be the focus of articles, and articles should not feature such rants. Instead, topics should be discussed and criticized. Ad hominem attacks should be avoided in articles; instead, the attention should be on the argument, not the individual.
- Before submitting your work, be sure that it has been proofread for problems in grammar and spelling. This will save our copy editors a lot of time.
- It is necessary to mention both the data and the quotes. No article that is based on source information that cannot be validated will be published. If the source cannot be disclosed, then the decision to do so should be rethought.
- If you can say everything in fewer words, please do so!
Formatting
- Send us your drafts in plain text as much as you possibly can. When you send us your draft in a format that isn’t.pdf or one of the other common file types, it makes our job significantly more difficult.
- Spell things with a British accent.
- All quotes that are longer than three lines should have a single indent.
- When you quote from a source, you should identify the source and also offer a hyperlink to the source if it is available online.
- Every abbreviation, especially the most frequent ones, has to have its full meaning explained the first time it appears.
- The jpeg, png, or gif file type may be utilized for the images. There should be no copyright restrictions on images.
- It would be helpful if you could provide a caption for each table and picture that was used in the article
